The XR4 Team Issue is Bontrager's answer to loose, rocky trails. It's perfect if you're looking for an aggressive tire that rolls decently, grips hard, and rages through any obstacle in your path. To achieve that, its cupped lateral blocks and long, buttressed shoulder knobs hold your line when you're stuffing it into corners at speed. This Team Issue version has a lightweight folding bead and supple high-thread-count casing to save weight and improve your connection to the trail for a more responsive, faster accelerating tire.
I have been through my share of tires and when I tried this one (Team Issue, 2.35, run at 28-31 lbs, depending on conditions) two years ago, I was impressed! Awesome grip, cornering, wear resistance and weight.
Don't take my word-search for other reviews and you will find great ratings from Pinkbike, Bike Magazine, etc. You will not be disappointed.
Bottom LineYes, I would recommend this to a friend
